Havaş Izmir Station welcomed the students of Kemalpaşa Yenikurudere Village Primary School. 23 students toured the apron and got the opportunity to see aircraft and ground handling services vehicles. Boarding aircraft for the first time, the students were given presents.

TAV Construction was awarded the tender for the construction of an additional terminal building at Schiphol Airport. Following the construction of Aéroports de Paris Headquarters Building at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport, TAV Construction won the tender for the construction of Additional Terminal Building, which is the second project that the company was awarded in a European Union member country. The building will cover an area of 56,000 square meters and have 3 floors. The project includes 8 passenger boarding bridges, which will allow the boarding of 5 narrow-bodied and 3 wide-bodied aircraft at the same time.

The Jeddah-Izmir flights of Saudia Airlines were initiated by an inauguration ceremony attended by the Waleed A. Elkhereiji, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Turkey. Another airline that was included to the portfolio of Izmir was Azur Air. Azur Air started to launch Moscow Domodedovo-Izmir flights.
Air Arabia started to launch Sharjah-Milas Bodrum flights. Qatar Airways launched its first flight to Milas-Bodrum Airport. The flights will be carried out by an Airbus A320 twice a week until September 28th. The first flight of Rossiya Airlines from Moscow was welcomed with flowers at Milas-Bodrum Airport.
After 3 years of absence, the British sector of the tour operator TUI resumed its flights to Enfidha-Hammamet airport. The first flight landed with 220 passengers on board from Bristol. The program of the season runs from May 1 to October 26, with two flights on Tuesdays and three flights on Fridays from the cities of Bristol, Manchester, Birmingham and London.
CONDOR resumed its operation to Monastir airport this season. Its program for the summer season includes 3 flights on Sundays and 2 flights on Wednesdays from Dusseldorf, Frankfurt and Cologne through 24 October 2018.
Gazipaşa Alanya Airport welcomed its first 757-200 model aircraft, which was launched by Azur Air from Moscow. Furthermore, PegasFly started to launch flights from Novograd to GZP this year. The first flight of Corendon, which plans to launch 114 flights from Copenhagen throughout the season, landed with its 187 passengers. The last airlines included to the portfolio of Gazipaşa were the Romanian Blue Air and Azerbaijani Buta. The company will launch 250 reciprocal flights from Azerbaijan.
This year, Havaş provides services to LOT Airlines and JET2 Airlines in Antalya. The company also undertakes the operation of ground handling services for Oman Air in Istanbul. Havaş General Manager Kürşad Koçak and the officials of TAV and BTA attended the ceremony held for the first flight of Oman Air launched from Muscat to Istanbul Atatürk Airport on June 3rd. Beginning to launch Gaziantep flights after a break of four years, Germania Airlines' first flight was welcomed with flowers. Berlin - Gaziantep flights of Germania will be launched once a week and Havaş will provide ground handling services to Kütahya flights of Germania which will start soon.
Kuwait state airline “Kuwait Airways” and Kuwait Jazeera Airways both began flights between Kuwait – Tbilisi – Kuwait. Jazeera Airways will also fly from Riyadh and Jeddah three time a week on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays by A320 type of aircrafts.
New Saudi Arabian low cost air company Flynas has performed inaugural flight on the route Riyadh-Tbilisi. That day airline performed another first flight from Jeddah. For summer season flights from Riyadh and Jeddah will be performed three times a week on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays by A320 type of aircrafts.
Korean Air has performed its First Charter Flight at Tbilisi International Airport. Representatives of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Georgian National Tourism Administration and TAV Georgia have welcomed guests from South Korea.
Myway airlines initiated regular flights from Kharkov to Tbilisi and Batumi directions. Flights on the route Tbilisi-Kharkov-Tbilisi will be performed twice a week on Tuesdays and Saturdays by B737-800 type aircrafts. Kharkov will not be the sole destination in Ukraine, where Myway airlines will be flying to. Before the end of this year, the company is intending to have flights towards Kiev as well.
Additionally, from September 1, Romanian TAROM airlines will start to perform direct flights on the route Bucharest-Tbilisi-Bucharest three times a week.
On 26 of May, Pobeda Airlines performed its first direct flight on the route Rostov-Batumi-Rostov. Flights will be performed two times a week, on Wednesdays and Saturdays with Boeing B737-800 type aircraft.
UVT Aero has performed its first flight on the route Perm-Batumi. For summer season UVT Aero will perform flights from two cities Perm and Kazan.
