We Celebrate Mother's and Father's Days

This year, mothers employed at TAV and their children were encouraged to do an activity, of which their mums enjoyed doing when they were at their age and the event was photographed as part of "Mom at My Age" project initiated for Mother's Day.


On the other hand, mothers and mother candidates working at Ankara Esenboğa, Izmir Adnan Menderes, Bodrum-Milas and Antalya Gazipaşa airports were gathered at "Mother's Breakfast" event.


As part of "My Dad: The Hero in My Heart" project initiated for Father's Day, the photos of fathers employed at TAV Group and their children were taken while they were carrying out daily activities and hobbies that they like to do together. The photos of the events were exhibited at the halls of TAV Headquarters.

Awarded Cake Masters of C&B

Successful chefs of Cakes & Bakes Production Facilities Boutique Cake Division were presented three awards at Istanbul Culinary Cup. Whilst Chef Merve Yüceer was awarded the Golden Cup in the Wedding Cakes category, chefs Ezgi Çoban and Sena Sevimli were awarded Silver Cup in the "Miniature" category.

ATU Duty Free Gives Lexus

Customers who shopped from ATU Duty Free stores on the arrivals floors of Istanbul Atatürk, Ankara Esenboğa and Izmir Adnan Menderes airports between February 24th and June 20th, 2018 got the opportunity to win a Lexus RC F Carbon with on-the-road-price for each €50 they spent, excluding alcoholic beverages and tobacco products. Including over 45,000 participants registered to the raffle which was carried out in front of the notary, the winner of the car, which is one of the only 3 Lexuses in Turkey, is Cansu Yıldız from Istanbul and she was delivered her prize during a ceremony held at Istanbul Atatürk Airport.

With a new raffle started in July, ATU Duty Free will offer its customers a chance to win a brand-new car at the main entry points to Turkey.

Infrastructure Development Works at Batumi International Airport

Construction works are in final phase at Batumi International Airport. Within the scope of the infrastructure development project additional check-in counters are being arranged at this very moment. Also, additional passport control desks will be placed in both departure and arrival halls as well. Moreover, Aircraft stand expansion works at aerodrome are about to be finalized. With expanded aircraft parking positions Batumi International Airport will serve 10 different types of aircrafts at the same time.

2018 WizzAir Skopje Marathon was completed successfully and attracted great interest. BTA and TAV Skopje employees run together at the marathon.

In addition to its national and international achievements, Cakes&Bakes was recognized as the best airport coffee shop in Europe in the "Airport Coffee Shop of the Year" category in the 7th FAB Conference & Awards organized in Helsinki.

Havaş Izmir Welcomes the Students of Yenikurudere

Havaş Izmir Station welcomed the students of Kemalpaşa Yenikurudere Village Primary School. 23 students toured the apron and got the opportunity to see aircraft and ground handling services vehicles. Boarding aircraft for the first time, the students were given presents.

TAV Tunisie Supports Local Communities

On the occasion of the holy month of Ramadhan, TAV Tunisie and sister companies (ATU, TAV Technologies, TAV TOS+ and BTA) contributed in offering some 9 tons of food aid in kind to more than 250 needy families in the population settlements neighboring Enfidha and Monastir airports.

Izmir Meets Students

9 Eylül University Efes Vocational School of Higher Education Civil Aviation Transportation Program students held a technical site visit to Adnan Menderes Airport and were informed by TAV Ege General Manager Erkan Balcı and the executives of Terminal Operations Management. TAV Ege General Manager Erkan Balcı also made the opening speech of the 10th IEU Logistics Management Department University Industry Collaboration Event.

TAV Construction in Amsterdam

TAV Construction was awarded the tender for the construction of an additional terminal building at Schiphol Airport. Following the construction of Aéroports de Paris Headquarters Building at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport, TAV Construction won the tender for the construction of Additional Terminal Building, which is the second project that the company was awarded in a European Union member country. The building will cover an area of 56,000 square meters and have 3 floors. The project includes 8 passenger boarding bridges, which will allow the boarding of 5 narrow-bodied and 3 wide-bodied aircraft at the same time.

Deep Depth Exhibition in Izmir

The "Deep Depth" photography exhibition consisting of the photos of underwater taken by Fulya Ocak was showcased at TAV Gallery Izmir.

Two New Airlines in Izmir

The Jeddah-Izmir flights of Saudia Airlines were initiated by an inauguration ceremony attended by the Waleed A. Elkhereiji, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Turkey. Another airline that was included to the portfolio of Izmir was Azur Air. Azur Air started to launch Moscow Domodedovo-Izmir flights.

Three New Airlines in Bodrum


Air Arabia started to launch Sharjah-Milas Bodrum flights. Qatar Airways launched its first flight to Milas-Bodrum Airport. The flights will be carried out by an Airbus A320 twice a week until September 28th. The first flight of Rossiya Airlines from Moscow was welcomed with flowers at Milas-Bodrum Airport.

TUI UK Back to Enfidha Airport

After 3 years of absence, the British sector of the tour operator TUI resumed its flights to Enfidha-Hammamet airport. The first flight landed with 220 passengers on board from Bristol. The program of the season runs from May 1 to October 26, with two flights on Tuesdays and three flights on Fridays from the cities of Bristol, Manchester, Birmingham and London.

CONDOR Back to Monastir Airport

CONDOR resumed its operation to Monastir airport this season. Its program for the summer season includes 3 flights on Sundays and 2 flights on Wednesdays from Dusseldorf, Frankfurt and Cologne through 24 October 2018.

A Fast Start to the Season at Gazipaşa

Gazipaşa Alanya Airport welcomed its first 757-200 model aircraft, which was launched by Azur Air from Moscow. Furthermore, PegasFly started to launch flights from Novograd to GZP this year. The first flight of Corendon, which plans to launch 114 flights from Copenhagen throughout the season, landed with its 187 passengers. The last airlines included to the portfolio of Gazipaşa were the Romanian Blue Air and Azerbaijani Buta. The company will launch 250 reciprocal flights from Azerbaijan.

HAVAŞ Achieves Growth With New Clients


This year, Havaş provides services to LOT Airlines and JET2 Airlines in Antalya. The company also undertakes the operation of ground handling services for Oman Air in Istanbul. Havaş General Manager Kürşad Koçak and the officials of TAV and BTA attended the ceremony held for the first flight of Oman Air launched from Muscat to Istanbul Atatürk Airport on June 3rd. Beginning to launch Gaziantep flights after a break of four years, Germania Airlines' first flight was welcomed with flowers. Berlin - Gaziantep flights of Germania will be launched once a week and Havaş will provide ground handling services to Kütahya flights of Germania which will start soon.

Tbilisi Continues High-Paced Growth with New Routes

Kuwait state airline “Kuwait Airways” and Kuwait Jazeera Airways both began flights between Kuwait – Tbilisi – Kuwait. Jazeera Airways will also fly from Riyadh and Jeddah three time a week on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays by A320 type of aircrafts.

New Saudi Arabian low cost air company Flynas has performed inaugural flight on the route Riyadh-Tbilisi. That day airline performed another first flight from Jeddah. For summer season flights from Riyadh and Jeddah will be performed three times a week on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays by A320 type of aircrafts.

Korean Air has performed its First Charter Flight at Tbilisi International Airport. Representatives of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Georgian National Tourism Administration and TAV Georgia have welcomed guests from South Korea.

Myway airlines initiated regular flights from Kharkov to Tbilisi and Batumi directions. Flights on the route Tbilisi-Kharkov-Tbilisi will be performed twice a week on Tuesdays and Saturdays by B737-800 type aircrafts. Kharkov will not be the sole destination in Ukraine, where Myway airlines will be flying to. Before the end of this year, the company is intending to have flights towards Kiev as well.

Additionally, from September 1, Romanian TAROM airlines will start to perform direct flights on the route Bucharest-Tbilisi-Bucharest three times a week.

Pobeda and UVT Begin Flights from Batumi

On 26 of May, Pobeda Airlines performed its first direct flight on the route Rostov-Batumi-Rostov. Flights will be performed two times a week, on Wednesdays and Saturdays with Boeing B737-800 type aircraft.

UVT Aero has performed its first flight on the route Perm-Batumi. For summer season UVT Aero will perform flights from two cities Perm and Kazan.
